Our approach

We do not parachute in. Our disaster response is anchored in the same districts where our health, education, and livelihood programmes already operate — so when something breaks, the network to fix it is already in place. Local volunteers lead. We support.

What we do

  • Rapid relief within 72 hours: ration kits, drinking water, tarpaulins, and a hot meal a day.
  • Dignity kits for women and adolescent girls — sanitary supplies, inner-wear, soap, and a torch.
  • Temporary learning centres so children have somewhere to go while schools are damaged.
  • Mental health first-aid circles for survivors, especially those who have lost family or homes.
  • Rebuilding support for the long tail — livelihood restoration, repair grants, and documentation help to access government compensation.

The long tail no one funds

Most disaster funding dries up within six weeks. Most rebuilding takes years. We commit to a minimum 24-month presence after every major response, working with local groups so the recovery is built — and owned — by the people living it.

How you can help

A ₹5,000 contribution funds one family's full relief kit for the first 30 days. Trained volunteers in logistics, medicine, mental health, and construction are always needed when the siren goes off.
